Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-based therapy method that helps relieve tension and stress caused by trauma. In SE sessions, the therapist helps the client notice and influence the bodily sensations that have developed as a result of the trauma. The goal is for the client to learn to regulate his nervous system and regain his zest for life and sense of security.
