Workshop formats

How the workshops work

What to bring

Wrap-tying foundations

An introduction to working with a woven wrap, including handling the fabric, tension, basic positioning and the logic behind a secure carry.

Front carrying with a woven wrap

Focused practice for learning or refining a front carry with a woven wrap.

Back carrying with a woven wrap

A practical workshop for learning or developing back-carrying skills with a woven wrap.

The exact technique and prerequisites are stated on the individual workshop page.

Small groups

Participant numbers are kept limited so there is enough time for demonstration, individual adjustment and practice.

Learn by doing

The emphasis is on practising the technique yourself rather than only watching a demonstration.

A paced learning environment

You can pause, repeat steps and ask for clarification. The aim is not to perform a technique quickly, but to understand what you are doing well enough to use it more confidently afterward.

The exact equipment requirements are listed on each workshop page.

Depending on the workshop, you may be asked to bring:

your baby :)  (and your older kids are also welcome)

your own woven wrap

the carrier or equipment you already use

a practice doll, if specified

comfortable clothing that allows movement

If loan equipment is available for a particular workshop, this will be stated explicitly on the event page.

Safety and scope

Babywearing advice is adapted to the caregiver, child, equipment and situation rather than assuming that one technique works for everyone.

Workshops are educational and practical. If your main question is highly individual, involves significant discomfort, or requires more time than a group setting allows, an individual consultation may be a better fit.
